Live-work-play
is a design firm founded in 2001 by Sheri Newbold that synthesizes architecture
and interior design. Live-work-play projects are approached with an intuitive,
sustainable, thoughtful, fun and practical perspective. Each project is unique
and live-work-play's philosophy encourages listening, clear communication and
collaboration as crucial tools to achieve successful home and work environments
in a cost-effective way. Sheri brings her varied experience to each project, and
welcomes the opportunity to talk with you about single-family, multi-family and
work projects. Sheri
Newbold arrived in Seattle in 1994. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she studied interior architecture
along with drawing, sculpture and fiber arts, and is where she cultivated her
intuitive understanding of color, space and light. Sheri subsequently earned her
Master of Architecture degree from the University of Washington where she focused
on construction materials and methods, participated in design/build projects,
and explored architectural photography. Sheri loves to dance, particularly Argentine
Tango. She believes tango embodies a philosophy she aspires to: there is no right
or wrong step, just movement that connects people, place, and music.
